Dear Shelly,
ReplyDeleteI just want to let the two women know how brave both of them are in
coming forth with their experiences, personal stories.
So many women can learn from both stories.
TO THE WOMEN, FROM HOLLY YOUR BOTH VERY UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS. EXTREMELY VERY BRAVE TO COME FORTH. MAY I WISH YOU BOTH ALL THE BEST IN YOUR NEW JOURNEY!! I TRULY HOPE EVERYONE WHO READS ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCES WILL LEARN FROM WHAT YOU BOTH DID TO SURVIVE! GOD BLESS FROM HOLLY BLOGGING AT HOLLY'S FIGHT FOR JUSTICE.
Thank you Holly, and I agree. We are taught as women that we must protect and nurture the "loved ones" in our lives and often we go to great lengths to be "good" women, even to our own detriment. It is not our job to keep their secrets and we are not bad women, mothers, wives, when we bring abuse and downright evil actions out in the open. We are healthy when we keep abuse in the open, not "bad."
ReplyDeleteAnd you Holly, are the bravest of all. You have a terrific story and I hope everyone will read your story as well.

Since I have had a blog about my con man bigamist, I have met other courageous women, and I am proud of them. The more we tell, the more we yell, the more perhaps Congress will change the laws that enable men and women to abuse others. I am glad that Ed finally got arrested, but from my experience, the laws allow them to get away with it. I should know my con man had up to 12 different charges that would have netted him 22 years in prison, and he plea bargained them down to three if he would admit he was guilty of using a fake name, fake social security number. A group of us wrote the judge asking him to please reconsider, but the Judge could not because in the state of NJ he never committed a crime!!!!! This man had not used his real name in 35 years, and yet even though the judge did only give him 3 years, he admitted that he would get out and do this again. I have been trying to stop him since he did what he did to me. It is a frustrating situtation, but sometimes we have to keep on keeping on. Congrats. Donna
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to see us uniting against being "victims", you see, we are not victims--we are targets and we are now learning to NOT standstill for target practice. I am so glad we are taking things into our hands and not waiting for someone to rescue us. After all, until it happens to you--peole aren't much interested! So we have to take charge. Thank you all for contributing--how was the Dr. Phil show?
